Basketball Recap: Akron Starts Season with Defeat on the Road + How To Watch

Akron had to start their season on the road on Friday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a 41-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Limon Badgers. The Rams haven't had much luck with the Badgers recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Akron's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jace Curtis, who posted seven points and nine boards. Curtis has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last four times he's played. Jakzon Livesay was another key player, putting up eight points.

Akron wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 67-41 victory against Belleview Christian on the 6th. As for Limon, they have also already played their next game, a 65-51 loss against Simla on the 6th.
