The Terrell Tigers will face off against the Seagoville Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Seagoville will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Terrell extended their winning streak to ten on Thursday. The Tigers claimed a resounding 79-34 victory over Poteet. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Tigers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 38th, while the Pirates are ranked 608th).

Terrell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from RODERICK HAMBRICK JR., who rushed for 149 yards and three scores on only six carries. That's the most rushing touchdowns HAMBRICK JR. has posted since back in October of 2024. JORDAN MUAMBILA was in the mix as well, providing Terrell with three TDs.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Terrell was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 536 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 248 rushing yards in six consecutive matchups.
Terrell's defensive line stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: ASA KOMISSAROV, ZAMONTAY SMITH, and KEENAN MORROW, who each picked up one sack apiece. KOMISSAROV was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making nine total tackles (2.0 for loss).
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seagoville). They blew past Adamson 56-21 on Thursday. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Leopards recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.
Terrell better keep an eye on Kelveion Gates. He was instrumental in Seagoville's win, rushing for 218 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 15 carries. Gates is becoming a predictor of the Dragons' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 3-4 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Ancel Bynaum, who threw for 155 yards and two TDs while completing 80% of his passes.
The victory got Seagoville back to even at 5-5. As for Terrell, their record is now 10-0.
Thursday's game might be decided on the ground. Terrell has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 335.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Seagoville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 210.1 rushing yards. There's a good chance Thursday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
