The Hersey Huskies will square off against the Lake Park Lancers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The timing is sure in Hersey's favor as the squad sits on three straight wins at home while Lake Park has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
Hersey is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Conant with a sharp 13-2 win on Thursday. The Huskies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by eight runs or more this season.
Hersey got a great performance from Riley Blackwell as he struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Blackwell has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.
