Softball Recap: Spring Hill Has No Trouble Against Lawrence Free State

12 must be Spring Hill's lucky number: they beat Lawrence Free State with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Broncos blew past the Firebirds 12-1. The result was nothing new for the Broncos, who have now won seven games by eight runs or more so far this season.

Emma Reeves was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Nora Burrell was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Spring Hill pushed their record up to 8-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Lawrence Free State, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Spring Hill will challenge Saint Thomas Aquinas at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Lawrence Free State does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
