Football Recap: Northside Wins Going Away Against Sulphur

Northside lost to Sulphur back in September of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Vikings blew past the Golden Tors 48-25. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Vikings.

Despite the defeat, Sulphur saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Dalton Shirley rushed for 147 yards and two scores on only seven carries, and also threw for 102 yards on seven of 15 attempts. Jordan Jardneaux also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.

Northside has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Sulphur, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Northside has already played their next contest, a 41-21 defeat against Cecilia on the 18th. As for Sulphur, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 44-14 loss against Vandebilt Catholic on the 19th.
