Baseball Game Preview: Newsome Wolves vs. Bloomingdale Bulls

Newsome is on an 11-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Bloomingdale is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Wolves will welcome the Bulls at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Newsome 2.9, Bloomingdale 1.4) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Last Thursday, Newsome didn't have quite enough to beat King and fell 2-1. That's two games in a row now that the Wolves have lost by just one run.

Meanwhile, Bloomingdale never let their opponents score on Friday. They blew past Leto 10-0. The Bulls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Bloomingdale is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.4 runs over those games. As for Newsome, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.

Newsome skirted past Bloomingdale 3-1 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Will the Wolves repeat their success, or do the Bulls have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
