Baseball Recap: Summit Academy Takes a Loss

Judge Memorial Catholic hit Summit Academy with a four-run first inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bears fell 7-4 to the Bulldogs. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bulldogs earlier this season, when they won 5-4.

Trace Gedicks made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs. Cooper Derbidge was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.

Summit Academy's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Judge Memorial Catholic, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-11.
