AAAA Region 3B recap October 29, 2013

Glenn Hills took down Cross Creek 34-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Kahlige Fleglar ran for 402 yards during the win.

The Spartans made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,065 from 7,482. The improvement was the result of a 34-0 victory over the Razorbacks last week.

Academy of Richmond County's dynamic duo of Jeff Jones and Zachary Mitchell proved to be unstoppable against Butler, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Jones threw for 37 yards and 1 touchdown and Mitchell had 48 yards receiving. Christian Barnes helped Academy of Richmond County's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 18 yards.

Fleglar provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Glenn Hills defeated Cross Creek.

Fleglar was a force in the backfield as Tim McClain's team defeated Robert McCarty's team.

Glenn Hills' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Spartans feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Santo Nina has thrown for 819 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Earlmonquez Cobb has 22 catches for 393 yards.

A big matchup in AAAA Region 3B this week will be when Hephzibah takes on the Spartans. The Rebels are in fourth place, while Glenn Hills is in second place.

The Spartans led the league in scoring this week by notching 34 points on the Razorbacks. Fleglar ran for 402 yards in the win.
