Basketball Recap: Bloomfield Bobcats vs. Miyamura Patriots
Bloomfield's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Miyamura Patriots as the Bloomfield Bobcats made off with a 52-29 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Bobcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Bloomfield got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Brooke Segay out in front who went 5 for 7 on her way to 12 points in addition to five boards and four steals. Segay has been hot, having posted four or more steals the last eight times she's played. Another player making a difference was Mischa Quintana, who went 6 of 13 en route to 15 points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Bloomfield was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in December of 2024.
Bloomfield's record is now 11-8. As for Miyamura, they are on an 18-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-19.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bloomfield will head out to take on Kirtland Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Kirtland Central will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something Bloomfield surely won't give up without a fight. As for Miyamura, they will venture away from home to challenge Shiprock at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
