Soccer Recap: Southside Comes Up Short

Southside lost against Southwest back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Southside Cardinals came up short against the Southwest Dragons, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 368th, while the Dragons are ranked fifth).

Southside now has a losing record at 2-3-3. As for Southwest, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Southside will venture away from home to take on Jay at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Southside is facing Jay at the right time seeing as Jay is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Southwest, they will welcome South San Antonio at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
