Volleyball Recap: Seneca Bobcats vs. Daniel Lions

After flying high against Travelers Rest on Thursday, Seneca came back down to earth. The Bobcats fell just short of the Daniel Lions by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on September 4th.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Seneca sadly dropped the once that decided the match. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 16-25, 25-17, 24-26, 15-11.

Kelsey Gosnell was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 16 digs. Those 16 digs gave her a new career-high.

Seneca has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season. As for Daniel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Seneca and Daniel will both be playing Berea the next time they take the court. The Lions will head out to face the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Bobcats will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
