Softball Game Preview: Ava Bears vs. Reeds Spring Wolves

The Ava Bears will challenge the Reeds Spring Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Ava beat Houston 8-4. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now won three in a row.

Reeds Spring came out on top against Hollister on Thursday thanks in part to the team's impressive 11-run fifth inning. The Wolves were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won eight matchups by eight runs or more so far this season.

Ava's record now sits at 11-6. As for Reeds Spring, their record is now 11-12.

Everything went Ava's way against Reeds Spring when the teams last played back in April of 2025, as Ava made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
