Baseball Game Preview: Gulf Buccaneers vs. Hudson Cobras

Gulf is 1-9 against Hudson since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. Gulf will be playing at home against Hudson at 7:00 p.m. Neither Gulf nor Hudson posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Gulf fell victim to Pasco and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 16-0. The Buccaneers' defeat continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Meanwhile, Hudson came up short against Cypress Creek on Friday and fell 7-2.

Caden Gillespie was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He has become a key player for Hudson: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 2-9 otherwise. Aiden Pace was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Gulf's loss dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Hudson, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.
