Baseball Recap: Ames Comes Up Short

Ames lost to Ankeny on Friday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Little Cyclones took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hawks. The Little Cyclones have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ames' loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Ankeny, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-13 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ames will take on Roosevelt at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Ankeny, they will face off against Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 4.1 runs per game this season, so the Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
