Softball Recap: Garner Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Garner can now relate to. They lost 12-0 to the Cardinal Gibbons Crusaders on Tuesday. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, the Trojans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Garner saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Smades, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Garner's loss dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Cardinal Gibbons, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Garner nor Cardinal Gibbons have any future games scheduled.
