Basketball Game Preview: Episcopal Maroon vs. Catholic Crusaders

Having just played yesterday, the Episcopal Maroon will jump right back in to play the Catholic Crusaders at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

On Friday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Episcopal beat Trinity Episcopal 57-52. The win continues a trend for the Maroon in their matchups with the Titans: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Catholic's game on Friday was all tied up 33-33 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They came out on top against St. Stephen's & St. Agnes by a score of 58-50. The 58-point effort marked the Crusaders' lowest-scoring game of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Episcopal's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Episcopal strolled past Catholic when the teams last played back in December of 2018 by a score of 69-50. Will the Maroon repeat their success, or do the Crusaders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
