Baseball Recap: Moriah Find Success

Moriah hadn't done well against Ticonderoga recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. The Vikings' pitcher stepped up to hand the Sentinels a 5-0 shutout. This was a revenge game for the Vikings: when they faced off against the Sentinels last Wednesday, they had to take a 9-4 loss.

The result came thanks to Joe Pelkey's shutout, as he gave up just five hits.

On the hitting side, Owen Bobbie was excellent, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits he has posted since back in May of 2024.

The victory got Moriah back to even at 2-2. As for Ticonderoga, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coincidentally, Moriah and Ticonderoga will both be playing Saranac the next time they take the field. The Vikings will host the Spartans at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while the Sentinels will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
