Fayette Ware's game last Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Germantown Red Devils 17-16. The Wildcats' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Fayette Ware saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Kee, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. What's more, Kee posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Landon Holden also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Fayette Ware was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .600. They are 2-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Fayette Ware's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-4. As for Germantown, they dropped their record down to 5-7 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Fayette Ware will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Red Devils: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
