Highlands came tearing into Friday's match with 15 straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.1 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Dayton Greendevils with a sharp 17-2 win. Considering the Bluebirds have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Highlands let Payton Brown and Bailee Class run wild. Brown went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI, while Class went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Kaitlyn Dixon was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Highlands always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .731. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Highlands' victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 23-5-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Dayton, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
