Baseball Recap: Halifax Academy Comes Up Short

After soaring to 14 runs the game before, Halifax Academy was a bit more limited in their contest on Monday. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pungo Christian Academy Raiders. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Raiders apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2025.

Halifax Academy saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Bryson Burr, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double. That hit was Burr's first of the season.

Halifax Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Pungo Christian Academy, they pushed their record up to 7-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight on the road.

While Halifax Academy had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
