Tempe scored the most points they've had this season on Monday, but it wasn't enough. They fell to the Marcos de Niza Padres 88-84. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (62), the Buffaloes still had to take the loss.

Several Buffaloes players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josiah Criss, who posted 26 points. The dominant performance gave Criss a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Nassir Cobbs, who put up 23 points.

It was another big night for James Steward, who dropped a double-double on 33 points and 24 boards for Marcos de Niza. Steward's morning made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jeidarion Richard was another key player, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.

Tempe has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Marcos de Niza, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-7.

Tempe has already played their next game, a 55-50 victory against Crismon on the 21st. As for Marcos de Niza, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, an 87-68 loss against Saguaro on the 22nd.
