Having struggled with five defeats in a row, Port Gibson turned things around against Crystal Springs on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Tigers 54-0. That 54 point margin sets a new team best for the Blue Waves this season.

Meanwhile, North Side played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Charleston, falling 48-28. The Gators have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Having lost for the first time this season, North Side fell to 7-1. As for Port Gibson, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-5.
