Softball Recap: Lake Forest Comes Up Short

Lake Forest was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 10-0 to the Warren Township Blue Devils. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blue Devils this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 back in March.

Lake Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Warren Township, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5.

Looking ahead, Lake Forest will face off against Fenton at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Scouts' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bison have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season. As for Warren Township, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 1-0 win against Lake Zurich on the 23rd.
