Baseball Game Preview: Greenville Green Wave vs. Butler Aviators

Greenville is 0-10 against Butler since April of 2019 but things could change on Thursday. The Green Wave will host the Aviators at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Wednesday, Greenville earned a 6-2 win over Bethel. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Green Wave.

Greenville saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layne Hocker, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits Hocker has posted since back in April. Isaac Kerg was another, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Butler got the win against Stebbins on Tuesday by a conclusive 9-2. The Aviators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Butler's victory bumped their record up to 19-1. As for Greenville, their win bumped their record up to 9-13.
