Valley won the last time they faced Bernalillo and things went their way on Friday too. The Valley Vikings secured a 63-58 W over the Bernalillo Spartans. Given the Vikings' advantage in MaxPreps' New Mexico basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Spartans are ranked 86th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The victory made it two in a row for Valley and bumps their season record up to 12-14. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.0 points over those games. As for Bernalillo, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 13 games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season.
