Basketball Recap: Spencer County Takes a Loss

Spencer County's last matchup with Jeffersontown could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Monday. The Spencer County Bears might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Jeffersontown Chargers an easy 74-54 win. The Bears just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row.

Spencer County's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Jeffersontown, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Spencer County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, an 86-38 win against Western on the 17th. As for Jeffersontown, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Archbishop McNicholas at 7:00 p.m. on December 28th.
