Basketball Game Preview: Franklin Wildcats vs. West Carrollton Pirates

The Franklin Wildcats will take on the West Carrollton Pirates at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.

Franklin is headed into the contest having just suffered their biggest defeat since January 30, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against Miamisburg, falling 63-42. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, everything went West Carrollton's way against Xenia on Friday as West Carrollton made off with a 68-42 win. That looming 68-42 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Pirates yet this season.

West Carrollton is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.0 points over those games. As for Franklin, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

Franklin took their victory against West Carrollton when the teams last played back in December of 2018 by a conclusive 69-45. Does Franklin have another victory up their sleeve, or will West Carrollton turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
