Baseball Recap: Bradford Comes Up Short

Bradford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 17-8 to the Williston Red Devils.

Breion Johnson and Ryland Rike stepped up to the plate in a big way. Johnson scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Rike scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs Johnson has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Jaron Hale, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Bradford kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in four consecutive matchups.

Bradford's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Williston, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

Bradford wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 6-4 victory against Interlachen on the 14th. As for Williston, they will square off against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m. on March 20th.
