Softball Recap: Mize Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Mize can now relate to. They lost 10-0 to the Pisgah Dragons on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Dragons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 18-2 on Wednesday.

Mize saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lila Gordon, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Mize and nudges their season record down to 20-13. As for Pisgah, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-8 record this season.

Mize does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Pisgah, they will take on Puckett at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Dragons 3.6, the Wolves 3.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
