Johannesburg-Lewiston waltzed into their matchup on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Alcona Tigers. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 on Friday.

Johannesburg-Lewiston's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Alcona, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Johannesburg-Lewiston is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Houghton Lake at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Alcona, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Au Gres-Sims at 7:30 p.m. on September 4.
