            Softball Recap: Loveland Tigers vs. Milford Eagles        
        
		
        
        
            Loveland extended their losing streak  to three  on Tuesday, dropping their season record down to 9-13 in the process. They lost  13-1 to the Milford Eagles. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  14-8  back in April.
  Summer Rohlfs made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and  went 2-for-3 with three  stolen bases and one  run.
As for Milford,  the  victory made it two in a row for them and  bumps their season record up to 14-9. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by six  runs or more this season.
On Milford's side,  Meghan McClellan was a  major factor no matter where she played. She  struck out six batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned run off   four  hits (and only one walk). McClellan has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't  tossed less than five  strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate,  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with four  RBI and one  double. That's the most  RBI  she has posted since back in May of 2024.
 In other batting news,  Maddie Varner was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI. That's the most  stolen bases  she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was  Lanie McCoy, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs and one  triple.
 Loveland and Milford are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. The Tigers will challenge Winton Woods at 5:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Loveland is facing the Warriors at the right time seeing as the Warriors are stuck on  a  four-game losing streak. As for Milford, they will square off against Anderson at 5:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
