Basketball Recap: Covenant School of Jacksonville Comes Up Short

Covenant School of Jacksonville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were dealt a 72-22 defeat at the hands of the First Coast Christian Knights. The match marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

David Ellis Jr. continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for First Coast Christian, going 7 for 16 on his way to 19 points along with six assists and five steals. The game was Ellis Jr.'s fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chase Bradshaw, who went 7 of 15 en route to 16 points.

Covenant School of Jacksonville's loss dropped their record down to 6-11. As for First Coast Christian, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Covenant School of Jacksonville will take on Old Plank Christian Academy in a tournament on Friday. As for First Coast Christian, they will challenge Christ's Church Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Christ's Church Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
