Baseball Recap: Mary G. Montgomery Comes Up Short

Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 back in March.

Mary G. Montgomery saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Turner, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run. Another was DJ Broughton, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Mary G. Montgomery's loss dropped their record down to 11-16-1. As for Fairhope, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-9 record this season.

Mary G. Montgomery has already played their next match, a 10-3 defeat against Spanish Fort on the 14th. As for Fairhope, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-5 victory against Foley on the 15th.
