Volleyball Recap: The Classical Academy Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

The Classical Academy entered their tilt with Mitchell on Tuesday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They put the hurt on the Marauders with a sharp 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The Classical Academy walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-16, 25-17, 25-5.

Mallory Smith paced The Classical Academy's offense, picking up 15 kills. Smith got some help from Maggie Johnson and her 30 assists. Miranda Campos controlled things from the service line, finishing with 15 aces.

The Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 16-2. As for Mitchell, their loss was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-14.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. The Classical Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Falcon at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Mitchell will take on rival Elizabeth at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
