Soccer Game Preview: Dutchtown vs. Newnan

The Dutchtown Bulldogs will venture away from home to face off against the Newnan Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Newnan took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Dutchtown, who comes in off a win.

Dutchtown will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Banneker on Monday. The Bulldogs never let the Trojans get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. That looming 5-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Dutchtown yet this season.

Meanwhile, there was early excitement for Newnan after they claimed the first goal on Monday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of Walnut Grove by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty ten goals in the game before, Newnan couldn't push the score so high this time.

Newnan's defeat dropped their record down to 9-2. As for Dutchtown, their win bumped their record up to 3-5.

Dutchtown couldn't quite get it done against Newnan when the teams last played back in March of 2025 as they fell 4-2. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
