Soccer Game Preview: Richardson vs. Martin

The Richardson Eagles will face off against the Martin Warriors at 8:00 p.m. on Friday.

While Richardson's victory against White wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. Richardson won by a goal and slipped past White 2-1. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Longhorns recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Martin unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak last Tuesday. Neither they nor Arlington could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw. The result kept the Warriors happy, as they haven't lost a game since February 14th.

Their goal came courtesy of Rykyr Rives, who's now up to five this season.

Richardson's victory bumped their record up to 10-8-1. Martin's draw gives them a new season record of 10-5-3.

Richardson couldn't quite get it done against Martin when the teams last played back in March of 2022 as they fell 2-0. Can Richardson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
