The Nordonia Knights will face off against the Strongsville Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Strongsville took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Nordonia, who comes in off a win.
Nordonia took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They came out on top against Brecksville-Broadview Heights by a score of 3-1.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 21-25, 25-19, 25-17.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nordonia to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avery Palinkas, who had five digs and three aces. What's more, Palinkas racked up 25 assists, the most she's had since back in August. Aleah Sopata was another key player, getting six digs and three aces.
They weren't the only good servers: Nordonia was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 12 consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Strongsville suffered their biggest defeat since October 3, 2024 on Tuesday. They came up short against Mentor, falling 3-0. The Mustangs have struggled against the Cardinals recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.
While Strongsville had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-21, 25-19.
Strongsville's loss dropped their record down to 17-4. As for Nordonia, they pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home.
Everything went Nordonia's way against Strongsville when the teams last played back in September of 2021, as Nordonia made off with a 3-0 win. Do the Knights have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
