Preview: Perryville Mustangs vs. Baptist Prep Eagles
Perryville has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Baptist Prep Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for Perryville, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 62-46 loss to Lamar.
Meanwhile, Baptist Prep's recent rough patch got a bit rougher last Friday after their third straight loss. They took a 48-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Maumelle Charter. While losing is never fun, Baptist Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arkansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 277th, while Maumelle Charter is ranked 124th).
Perryville's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Baptist Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 1-14.
Perryville strolled past Baptist Prep in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 by a score of 46-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for Perryville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
