University of Detroit Jesuit proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by eight) and on Wednesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They won by a run and slipped past the Utica Ford Falcons 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cubs have posted since May 4, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Kyle Hand, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April. Jayden Johnson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

University of Detroit Jesuit is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-18 record this season. As for Utica Ford, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 16-12-1 record this season.

University of Detroit Jesuit will head out to take on West Bloomfield at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Utica Ford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lutheran North at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
