Baseball Game Preview: Silas Rams vs. Stadium Tigers

The Silas Rams will take on the Stadium Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stadium took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Silas, who comes in off a win.

Silas took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over Bellarmine Prep.

Jesse Bell made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits. Bell was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. He has become a key player for Silas: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-5 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jackson Keeton, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Cade Owen also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Meanwhile, Stadium was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 8-5 to Kentridge.

Max Huteson was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits.

On the hitting side, Stadium saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luca Dossetti, who went 3-for-4 with one RBI.

Silas' win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Stadium, their loss dropped their record down to 1-9.
