Baseball Game Preview: Shadow Creek Sharks vs. Pearland Oilers

The Shadow Creek Sharks will square off against the Pearland Oilers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Shadow Creek comes in on three and Pearland on five.

Shadow Creek took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Santa Fe, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Sharks beat the Indians on Friday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 6-4.

Meanwhile, Pearland gave up the first runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them down. They skirted past Pasadena Memorial 4-3.

The team relied heavily on Nicholas Partida, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Pearland's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 18-6. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Shadow Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 12-10.
