Softball Recap: Lamar Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lamar can now relate to. They fell just short of the Ridge Spring-Monetta Trojans by a score of 6-4 on Friday. The Silver Fox were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Trojans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2018.

Jordyn Scarbrough made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played.

The loss snapped Lamar's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-10 record. As for Ridge Spring-Monetta, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 21-7.
