The Cornerstone Charter Academy Ducks are taking a road trip to challenge the Lake Howell Silverhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.

Cornerstone Charter Academy is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since February 7, 2024 on Thursday. They had to suffer through a 59-26 loss at the hands of Mainland. While losing is never fun, the Ducks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 552nd, while the Buccaneers are ranked 206th).

Cornerstone Charter Academy's defeat came about despite a quality game from Grace Jervis, who posted 12 points. That was a full 46.2% of Cornerstone Charter Academy's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Meanwhile, Lake Howell blew past Hagerty, posting a 72-19 victory. The Silverhawks have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matches by 27 points or more this season.

Lake Howell pushed their record up to 13-4 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 41 points. As for Cornerstone Charter Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Cornerstone Charter Academy suffered a grim 67-44 defeat to Lake Howell in their previous meeting back in December of 2017.
