Basketball Recap: Blackwell Takes a Loss

Blackwell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 29th straight defeat dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 53-12 loss at the hands of the Robert Lee Steers. While losing is never fun, the Hornets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1605th, while the Steers are ranked 551st).

Blackwell's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Robert Lee, they pushed their record up to 22-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Blackwell will take on Bronte at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Robert Lee has already played their next matchup (against Garden City), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
