Baseball Recap: Minerva Takes a Loss

Minerva lost against Carrollton on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Lions came up short against the Warriors, falling 18-4. The Lions just can't catch a break and have now endured eight defeats in a row.

Minerva saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Julian Dunbar, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Minerva's loss dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Carrollton, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-4.

Coming up, Minerva will head out on the road to face off against Tuslaw at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carrollton, they will look to defend their home field on Saturday against Tuscarawas Valley at 12:00 p.m. The timing is sure in the Warriors' favor as the team sits on 13 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Trojans have been banged up by six consecutive losses on the road.
