Softball Recap: Durham Takes a Loss

Durham and University Prep squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Durham had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 14 runs in the game before, the Trojans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Durham's loss dropped their record down to 16-10. As for University Prep, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-16.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Durham will challenge Winters at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for University Prep, they will take on Colusa at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Panthers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the RedHawks have averaged an impressive 7.8 runs per game this season.
