Saugerties waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Rondout Valley Ganders. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Sawyers also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2024.

Saugerties' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.7 runs over those games. As for Rondout Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Saugerties and Rondout Valley will both be playing Marlboro Central the next time they take the field. The Sawyers will head out to face the Dukes at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Ganders will host them at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
