Softball Game Preview: Farmersville Aztecs vs. Woodlake Tigers

The Farmersville Aztecs will head out on the road to square off against the Woodlake Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Farmersville fell victim to Orange Cove and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Titans, falling 10-0. The Aztecs' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Woodlake entered their tilt with Strathmore on Tuesday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They put the hurt on the Spartans with a sharp 14-2 victory. Considering the Tigers have won 20 matches by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Farmersville's defeat dropped their record down to 14-4. As for Woodlake, they pushed their record up to 22-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Farmersville might still be hurting after the 17-2 loss they got from Woodlake in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Aztecs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
