Volleyball Recap: Academy of International Studies' Run of Ten Straight Wins Now Over

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Academy of International Studies couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost 3-0 to the Coventry Patriots on Friday. The Dragons' defeat signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-7, 25-11.

Despite the loss, Academy of International Studies still got an impressive performance from Angie Zuluaga- Gonzalez, who had 19 digs. Zuluaga- Gonzalez is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 11 every time she's taken the court this season.

Coventry was led to victory by Brooke White and Rowynn Myshrall. White had 19 digs, while Myshrall had 11 digs and three aces.

Academy of International Studies' loss dropped their record down to 22-4. As for Coventry, they pushed their record up to 21-3 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home.

As of now, neither Academy of International Studies nor the Patriots have any future games scheduled.
