West Carter is 8-2 against Morgan County since March of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Comets will welcome the Cougars at 6:00 p.m. West Carter will be strutting in after a win while Morgan County will be coming in after a loss.

West Carter's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over Fairview. Considering the Comets have won four contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Morgan County's offense. They came up short against Elliott County on Friday, falling 15-0. The defeat continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Lions: they've now lost eight in a row.

West Carter pushed their record up to 5-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Morgan County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

West Carter took their victory against Morgan County when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 19-8 score. Will the Comets repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
